Dietrich Bonhoeffer is the youngest boy in the family. When he was young, he liked to lie on the field and think. He liked to play war games like most boys do.
In the World War I, his big brother attended the war and died. From that day on, Dietrich always thought about how does God help people. So when he grew up, he worked in the church.
He was angry when Hitler closed all the churches and made the biggest one the Nazi's church. Dietrich went to a lot of places, warned people about Hitler, and was pleased for help. But no one listened. Next, he tried to tell the church owner to stop letting Hitler use the church, but still no one listened. Then, he went to take bigger risks to send letters to other countries, but no one supported him. He even lost his chance to study with Gandhi because he want to built a church of himself.
He was delighted when his brother told him that he was forming a destroy Hitler group. First, they put a bomb on Hitler's plane, but the bomb didn't go off. Next, they put a bomb in Hitler's friend's house, knowing that Hitler was going there, but Hitler went outside. Last, they put a bomb in the meeting office. It went off, but Hitler isn't dead.
A member of the group told Hitler's friend about the papers Dietrich wrote that showed he wanted to kill Hitler, so Dietrich went to jail and was hanged the next day.
He is a hero that stood tall before the power. We honor his courage and hope God has sent him to heaven.
