D-Day is a historical moment for the World War II. 

 

D-Day is June 6th, 1944. At first, the Navy didn't do so well. The weather was very bad, so the ship went off coast. 

 

Then, the weather became better, and the waves became smaller. The Navy's ship landed on coast, and caught the German soldiers on surprise. They battled the German soldiers well.

 

At the Atlantic Wall, where Germany put a lot of obstacles to stop the combined force, the Germans said it is impossible to break in. The combined force would lose too many soldiers to break in, but the combined force tried to do that. A lot of ships sank, but finally, one ship made it.

 

It costed a lot to make it, an America captain said: “the bodies are covered and lied in a straight row. I counted them. 200 when I walked about 15 or 20 inches." A reporter said: "there are no space to bury the dead, graves are dig under the cliffs."

 

At last the war ended. On a Monday, German warriors signed the "Unconditional Surrender" paper. The combined force (France/England and America) won the World War II. 

 

No one, however, got good things, and every country got soldiers wounded or killed. The war is nothing but disaster to every country. So just live peace and friendly, that’s what the war is telling us.
